Terms of Service
Last updated: July 6, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the siliXon website, dashboard, and electronics design platform (together, the "Service"), operated by siliXon ("siliXon", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
siliXon lets you describe, design, and iterate on electronics — including printed circuit board (PCB) designs — using natural language and automated design tools. The Service is currently offered as a beta: features may change, be interrupted, or be discontinued at any time while we develop the platform.
2. Accounts
You need an account to use the Service. You can register with an email address and password or sign in with a third-party identity provider such as Google. You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your credentials secure. You must provide accurate information and be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country) to create an account.
3. Your content
You retain all rights to the designs, schematics, files, prompts, and other content you create or upload to the Service ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited licence to host, store, process, and display Your Content solely to operate and improve the Service for you. We do not claim ownership of your designs.
4. Acceptable use
- Do not use the Service for anything unlawful or to infringe others' rights.
- Do not attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or other users' data.
- Do not resell, scrape, or reverse engineer the Service without our written consent.
- Do not use the Service to design devices intended to cause harm or that are illegal to produce in your jurisdiction.
5. Engineering disclaimer
The Service produces automated design output. It is a design aid, not a substitute for professional engineering review. You are solely responsible for validating, testing, and certifying any design before manufacturing, distributing, or deploying it — including compliance with applicable safety, EMC, and regulatory requirements.
6. Beta availability and data
During the beta we aim for, but do not guarantee, continuous availability or the preservation of data. Keep copies of anything you cannot afford to lose. We may impose usage limits to keep the Service reliable.
7. Our intellectual property
The Service itself — including its software, models, interfaces, and branding — is owned by siliXon or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights in the Service other than the right to use it as described here.
8. Termination
You can stop using the Service and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access that breaches these Terms or that creates risk for the Service or other users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as sections 3, 5, 7, 9, and 10) survive it.
9. Disclaimers and liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, siliXon will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. If a change is material we will give you reasonable notice (for example by email or an in-product notice). Your continued use of the Service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance.
