No layout prep
No finalising placement, hand-routing critical signals or writing rulesets before the board is routed.
Flux.ai has an AI agent too, living inside a full browser ECAD, and on paper it does every step. In practice, its own docs ask you to finalise placement, set dimensions, constraints and keep-out zones and hand-route the critical signals before Auto-Layout starts, then allow up to half an hour for a first result and 10 to 24 hours to converge. siliXon asks what the board should do in plain English, then picks the parts, places and routes the board in minutes, with no rulesets to write first.

Choose siliXon for the most direct path from a description to a routed board.
Choose Flux.ai for a full browser ECAD and boards up to eight layers.
siliXon todaysiliXon is in early beta and builds two- and four-layer, mostly digital boards. Review every design before fabrication.
Where Flux.ai is strongerA full browser ECAD, boards up to eight layers, a large parts library with live pricing and real-time collaboration.
Time to a prototype
From an idea to a board you can send to a fab, on one scale from zero. Estimates for someone new to each tool.
No finalising placement, hand-routing critical signals or writing rulesets before the board is routed.
siliXon routes a supported board in minutes. Flux's docs put Auto-Layout at up to 30 minutes for a first result and 10 to 24 hours to converge.
siliXon asks what the board should do, not for net classes, differential pairs or keep-out zones.

So far creating my first project for 10 min - onboarding seems quite smooth
I like the self validation and how it explains everything too, makes it easier for me to quickly cross reference and learn on the go
Response is very meaningful, I like how it asks you questions to verify and gives you the options to choose the answers with the recommended on the one it thinks is a better option
Good so far. It is helpful and gives me advice
I have to say I love the UI and UX, the front end is really fun to interact with, with the little dynamic touches etc
Super helpful and easy to use
Really good actually better than Flux ai
Flux says anyone who can type can build, but a good layout means setting constraints, differential pairs and keep-outs in its ECAD. siliXon asks plain questions instead.
Yes. Both plan, pick parts, draw the schematic, place, route and check. Flux does it inside a full ECAD with your setup; siliXon does it from one conversation.
Flux.ai, with up to eight layers. siliXon supports up to four layers during beta.
Yes. Both export Gerbers, drill files, a BOM and pick-and-place data.
